On June 10, 2025, World Vision Canada and the Joint Learning Initiative on Faith & Local Communities hosted a learning event to explore new evidence from a multi-year, mixed-methods study on the Empowered Worldview program, highlighting its impacts on hope, self-efficacy and well-being in rural Tanzania.
From 2019 to 2024, World Vision International partnered with researchers from the University of Alberta and the Ifakara Health Institute in Tanzania to study the impact of the Empowered Worldview (EWV) program.
Empowered Worldview is a faith-based behaviour change model that fosters spiritual renewal and mindset transformation. Conducted in two rural districts in Tanzania, this mixed-methods research tested the EWV Theory of Change.
