Pressure Baby Documentary Launch Event
Be among the first to meet Zin, a young mother from Myanmar, and hear about the struggles she faced as an expectant mother living in one of the most remote communities in the country. Learn how the ENRICH 1000 Day Journey program is working to address maternal and newborn health challenges.
You’ll also have the opportunity to engage with a panel of speakers who have been involved with ENRICH’s programming in Myanmar, Bangladesh, Kenya and Tanzania:
- A Canadian health expert who will unpack the challenges faced by new mothers and infants and highlight the positive changes this program has made.
- One of the filmmakers who helped bring the documentary to life.
- A World Vision program specialist who will speak to the impact and learnings of the program.
PRESSURE BABY is an emotional, 1000 day journey with “Zin”, a quiet, resilient woman from Myanmar. Her story is an intimate glimpse into the life of a mother, wife and daughter living in one of the most remote communities on Earth as she and her family navigate heartbreak and joy. It’s a story of the realities of development and evolving family dynamics that can make a life or death difference in the health and futures of communities everywhere.
1000 Day Journey is a six-year initiative to support women and children’s health in very poor communities in four African and Asian countries. The work is led by World Vision, with funding from the Government of Canada. It’s all part of Canada’s contribution to ending preventable child deaths by 2030.
